Its been a while (again!) since I've updated the blog, but I guess that's mostly because there isn't a whole lot to blog about! :) Every week is pretty much the same (and we like it that way!). When Kayden gets both drugs, he is a little more nauseous and carries his "trow up bin" around for a few days until he feels better (its like a lovey those first few days, he insists on having it with him, even in bed!). The other weeks he just takes really good naps for me for a few days and then goes back to thinking he doesn't need them anymore (Mommy disagrees!). God is good all the time, and I am so thankful to be past (hopefully) the hard part of this all! He still has all his hair, his reflexes have slowed a little, but shouldn't be effected too long after treatment, and we are just about half way done with treatment! Every week he does just a little bit better with treatment, although he spent most of our trip there worried today. He has been helping even more with caring for his port and getting his blood ready to be sent down to lab...the nurses do an amazing job at making him feel comfortable! When we first got to the hospital today, we went to visit the inpatient nurses and just as we were walking in, out walked the surgical team, so we were able to see our surgeon too. Kayden gave him a big hug and was not shy or scared around him at all. I think he has mostly forgotten about our stay, although the floor is very familiar to him still.
We appreciate your continued prayers and support through this process and just praise God for the smooth road we are now having! May God be praised for knowing the before, during and after of this all!

  1. Living so far away from our loved ones has its "draw backs" but so much more when there is serious sickness. But what joy when we can read in the current blog that things are doing better (good). When we see the way our Omnipotent, Loving, Caring God is working to not only heal little Kayden's wounded body but his wounded spirit, in answer to the prayers of so many not only throughout the USA but beyond, our hearts are filled with Praise and thanksgiving. And thank you Lord for the special strength given to his mommy and daddy.
We rejoice in all good things happening now and those God has for us in the future.
We love you Aaron, Korene, Bree and Kayden.
